Countdown = ZERO, Departure Day!

It was certainly easy for us all to get out of bed this morning and prepare for the start of the trip! Our last morning/afternoon in Helena was hot. The girls and I enjoyed a walk into town to see a sidewalk art festival. When we came back, Matt had prepared a nice lunch to eat outside.

After lunch, Evelyn kept us on track by carefully working through the check list. Finally, everything was assembled. This is certainly THE MOST baggage I've ever allowed for a trip. But, given the park-in-one-place strategy that we have for this trip, I've abandoned many of my usual pack-light techniques, particularly when it comes to activities and toys for the girls.

The girls are particularly excited to be leaving the small town Helena airport behind and move onto the excitement of Seatac and London Heathrow. We are in Seatac now, having dinner before the evening flight. I still get excited at the prospect of boarding a plane on one continent and disembarking on another continent. Here we go!
