Today we explored the gardens at Bercy, which are along the Seine, east of us. The park had two nice playgrounds, but the highlight for the girls turned out to be the water lily pond, full of lily pads and blooms. After all of the Monet paintings, it was delightful for them to see really lily pads :)
We had one of our best café lunches – the girls just loved the food, nice roasted chicken for Carolyn, and Evelyn had a great buckwheat galette with the fried egg and cheese in the middle.
After our relaxing excursion we had fun getting everything ready for Jessica’s arrival tomorrow. We are all so excited to see her!
