August 1 - Petit Palais and Champs-Elysees

We started the day with some play time in the girls' favorite park, then we took the metro to the Grand Palais and Petit Palais. These palaces were built in the 19th century when Paris was hosting the world's fair (as was the Eiffel tower). They are both very beautiful exhibition halls.

We strolled through the Petit Palais and enjoyed the art. There is a nice cafe located on the inner courtyard that I'd like to return to with Jessica.
We spent the rest of the afternoon on the Champe-Elysees. The highlight was the Toyota car showroom which had a car coloring design area for the kids as well as some extreme sports cars. The girls also had fun helping me pick out a new watch from the Swatch shop :)
